Despite increasing losses, THQ has begun to find success in selling Wii and DS titles. DS titles now account for $27 million of THQ's last quarter revenues, while Wii titles account for $23.3 million. PC business comes in a close third with revenues of $23.2 million.
This news comes in the wake of a $27.2 million loss in the first quarter of 2008, nearly triple the $9.3 million loss from the previous year. Net sales for the company as of June 30 are $137.6 million, up from $104.5 million the previous year. THQ points to Wall-E and Big Beach Sports as being responsible for the increase in revenue.
THQ President and CEO Brian Farrell commented, "We continued to make progress against our key initiatives during the first quarter."
