Learned the hard way by some, it has been realized time and time again that in-game talent doesn't always translate into real-world talent. For tennis players participating in the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships this weekend will enjoy a similar switch of positions. Having to not only perform on the courts, but also in the gaming room...

As part of the event, the ITC will hold the Wild 95.5 Wii Tennis Tournament, its first-ever virtual tennis competition with the winners of four qualifying rounds during the past month.
This means that while some of the highest-ranking tennis players in the world will have to prove who has the best serve or backhand, four of the best Wii video game tennis players will have to prove, among other skills, who has the strongest grip on a wireless Wii remote.
The finalists face off Saturday for the Grand Champion title and two VIP courtside seats for the tournament's finals on Sunday. The champion will also get his very own Nintendo Wii console.
"The Wii is one of the most popular games around the globe," ITC Executive Director John Butler said. "We just want people to have a good time even if they're not real tennis fans."
