Nintendo announced this morning that they started to add more developers focusing on the Wii.

This being said, Nintendo per say is taking people away from the DS side of development. There are a lot of third-party companies developing DS games, so we can still think that a smaller amount of people should be able to handle things properly on that side.

The Wii has picked up quite well so far, and Nintendo wants to ensure that its development will not suffer from this huge boom. Adding developers for the Wii games will simply allow the platform to continue providing with quality first-party software and to raise the overall quality level for Wii titles amongst all companies.
