Guitar Hero is back, and better than ever! In the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour, you will never get bored with the seemingly limitless supply of songs, customizables, and epic online modes. World Tour will feature a brand new guitar with a sleek design. In addition, this new entry into the series introduces drums and singing. And of course, bass guitar is back as well.

GH: WT ships with over 85 songs in the main game, including big hits from Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles, Sublime, and many more. This gives Guitar Hero: World Tour the largest song list in any music-based video game to date. But are 85 songs enough for the hardest of hard rockers? Probably not. That's why, for the first time on Nintendo Wii, there will be downloadable content released in the form of singles and track packs. Up to six tracks of this potentially massive track list can then be used to create your own playlist to play at gigs. These gigs can be played in both quickplay and career modes.
With the in-game song list and downloadable content, one would think that the track list would end there. However, World Tour ships with a new feature that makes the song selection literally limitless! In Guitar Hero: World Tour you can use the new song creator to digitally create and customize your very own songs. This allows you and your friends to start a virtual rock band with your very own music.

Record your own tracks and share with the world!
Record music with the guitar and drums, then get ready to share your songs with the Guitar Hero Community via GHTunes™. That's right, not only can you create your own songs and play to them, but you can download songs created by people from all over the world.
Online mode hits Guitar Hero once again, this time with support for a full band. You can now play "Battle of the Bands" online, which is an 8-player band against band competition. That's not all you can do online, however. If you don't have any friends to play a full band with, then you can simply take your career online and form a cooperative band with other players across the world.

Rock with your friends in your living room or online!
A significant omission of previous Guitar Hero games was customization. World Tour has corrected this oversight. You can finally customize your character and make it your very own. Never again will you have to feel stuck with Activision's green mohawked guitarist . Now, you can make your custom characters look casual, cool, hip, trendy, or even abnormal. Clothes, hair, facial appearances, and body structure are all customizable

Make a character that suites your tastes.
Characters and songs are not the only things you can customize. Your equipment is customizable too! Create your own design for your guitars, drums, and microphones. It doesn't end there either. You can create your own logos for instruments and band or album covers.

Customize your instruments to make your band complete!
There will also be a brand new, Wii exclusive feature, currently known as Mii Freestyle, making World Tour the first multiplatform game to feature Miis in its Wii version. In Mii Freestyle, you improvise on the guitar with your own Miis, making up the music as you go.
Music Studio is a more developmental feature that takes time to create a musical masterpiece. Mii Freestyle is a just-for-fun mode you can use to create your own jams session or to practice the Wiitar. However, guitar isn't the only thing you can improvise on.
You can also play the drums using the Guitar Hero drum set or the air drums. With the air drums, you use the Wii remote and nunchuck to play your invisible drum set. If you're new to this feature, you can use the "card system" to start you off with ideas on how to make good sounding improvisations. Three cards are displayed on the screen to show a few examples of what you might play. You can change these cards using the tilt your guitar.
So get ready to rock out loud come Fall 2008. Because Guitar Hero: World tour is bringing a more social and fun experience than has ever been seen in the series before.
