Dead Space Coming to Wii

Electronic Arts announced tuesday that the popular survival horror game Dead Space — currently for the 360, PS3, and PC — would soon be ported to the Nintendo Wii.

This move is part of a new plan from EA to provide more "core" gaming experieces on the Wii console. Despite the technical limitations of the platform, EA has promised that the game will retain its nail-biting action and outright haunting environments.

The plot of Dead Space covers well tread ground. You play as Issac Clarke; an engineer sent to repair the damaged spaceship USG Ishimura. Unfortuanly, a deadly virus known as "Corruption" has spread throughout the ship. As if killing the crew wasn't enough, the virus has the unique ability to make the dead... less than friendly undead.

EA expects to release Dead Space later this year.

Wait... is that dead... or undead?
