Overview

Super Metroid is a 2-D action adventure platform video game. Help Samus Aran, the main character, through the progression of the game by sequentially gathering power-ups that will allow to overcome obstacles in order to gain access to new areas of the world.

Samus must defeat four main bosses: Kraid, the giant lizard whose base makes up a large part of Brinstar; Phantoon, the Wrecked Ship controller; Draygon, a crustacean monstrosity that operates a submerged pirate lab in Maridia; lastly Ridley, who controls Norfair.

Like many 2-D Metroid games, the levels of Super Metroid world have a non-linear design and feature many secret areas, exploration being the main idea of the game.

Features

There are two uses for items and equipment found in Super Metroid world: firstly to defeat enemies and secondly, to overcome obstacles found in the environment.
