Overview

Super Mario Galaxy is the latest in the Super Mario series, as of November, 2007. It is a 3D action-platformer game developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo, in Japan, and published by Nintendo.

Every hundred years, a comet passes over the Mushroom Kingdom and rains down stars and stardust Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom citizens are celebrating the centennial event, Bowser's legions attack by sending asteroids at the kingdom and crystalize the Toads. Knowing that Bowser is after Princess Peach, Mario runs to save her. Peach's castle is entirely destroyed as Bowser summons adducted with a massive spaceship. While Mario hangs on to the castle, Kamek sends him flying off into space. He later wakes on a moon high above the Mushroom Kingdom.

Features

  • New character introduced in the game, Princess Rosalina ("Rosetta" in Japan). She is a Watcher of the Stars who aids Mario on his quest to find Princess Peach, as well as the Grand Stars.
  • After obtaining all 120 stars, Luigi is unlocked as a playable character upon re-defeating Bowser.
  • After obtaining all 120 stars with Luigi, the Grand Finale Galaxy is also unlocked, taking place at Peach's castle grounds with 100 purple coins to collect and a final 121st star.
