Overview

Ristar takes place in the seven-planet Valdi (aka Vadji in Europe) system. An evil space pirate, Kaiser Greedy, has kidnapped the protector of this solar system and made the planets' rulers obey him. The inhabitants of the planet Neer (known as Flora outside Japan) pray for a hero before Greedy's mind control snatches them. The request summons Ristar to destroy Greedy and rescue the protector, who is also Ristar's father.
