Overview

In Ninja Gaiden you will characterize Ryu Hayabusa, a rising warrior in his family's clan whose main role in the world is to protect the Dark Dragon Blade from falling into the hands of evil. You will travel to America seeking vengeance of Ryu's father’s death. There are fourteen challenging side-scrolling levels where Ryu has to fight and defeat gangs of street thugs, evil ninjas barbarian bosses with his deadly Dragon Sword, ninja skills and Ninpo (ninja magic). Ryu can climb, crouch, jump and run making his way through each stage. You have to collect items to gain points, strength and weapons.

Items to collect: time freeze (frozes action for 5 seconds), bonus vials (increases your score by 500 points with blue and 1000 points with red bonuses), recovery medecine (get 6 units to restore fighting strength), art of flying fire-wheel (defense against airborne foes), shuriken , art of windmill shuriken (practical when enemies attack on both side, acts as boomerang), art of invincible fire wheel (3 twirling balls of fire burning any enemy on the way) ans spin splash art (gives the ability to jump and slash through Ryu's foes)

Ryu's enemies: The Malice Four (The Barbarian, Bomberhead, Basaquer and Bloody Malth), Jaquio and his Servants (Kelbeross, The Masked Devil, Guardia de Mieux, a.k.a. The Jaquio, The Demon a.k.a. Jashin).
