Overview

The game storyline in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a combination of the movie and original plot, as well as the popular comic book series. You can play the role of any member of the Fantastic Four team and switch from one character to another at anytime. Each character has a unique ability that will help you get through different situations. In game play, you will also face enemies from the Fantastic Four universe, such as Silver Surfer, Red Ghost, Terrax, Super Skrull, and Dr. Doom.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is the first Fantastic Four game that can be played as a team of four. Although, the characters can also go off on their own missions.

Furthermore, each of the characters has a special ability:

Mister Fantastic: he has the ability to shift his body, or just portions of his body, into a super-malleable state, enabling him to compress, contract, deform, elongate, expand, reshape or otherwise stretch his physical form at his will.

Susan Storm: she possesses the ability to bend light and ultimately become totally or partially invisible at will. Beside her invisibility capabilities, she also has telekinetic powers and the ability to project force energy from her body.

The Human Torch: he can manipulate fire. He usually allows his entire body to be engulfed in flames considering he can sustain to high levels of heat. The Human Torch can also fly in the game, just like in the movie.

The Thing: he has a tremendous strength and his body shield is simply stronger than diamonds. Ben Grimm can carry heavy objects with ease, as players will find when personifying this character in game.
