Retro Studios, Inc. are partnered with Nintendo, and they are a well-capitalized videogame company developing games for Nintendo's GameCube console mainly, now also for the Nintendo's Wii console.

The company leader, and also founder of Iguana, is Jeff Spangenberg. The headquarters of Retro Studios are located in Austin, Texas, USA, in an expansive building with a top-notch motion capture studio for full-range realistic 3D animation. They also have a fancy on-site theater with high-resolution video projection and digital surround sound.

In the latest release, Retro Studios worked on the very last installment of Nintendo's famous Metroid series, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The first three titles of Retro have been tabled in order to divert all resources towards its first high-profile game.
