Edge of Reality, Inc. began as a modest sized, Dallas-based, console developer in early 1998. Founded by Turok (Iguana) lead programmer Rob Cohen and Paradigm's Mike Panoff, the company initially concentrated on Nintendo 64 ports of blockbusters like Tony Hawk and Spider-Man. Edge of Reality expanded to PlayStation 2 development and handled the first console versions of The Sims. The company has since moved to Austin, TX, with projects such as its self-funded next-generation title Cipher Complex and projects for other major publishers in the works at the independent studio.
